COEA Awarded South Carolina Department of Commerce Grant for Orangeburg County Entrepreneurship Initiative
February 2026
ORANGEBURG, SC — The Center for Opportunity and Entrepreneurial Advancement (COEA) announces it has received funding from the South Carolina Department of Commerce to support Launch in 60, a yearlong entrepreneurship program serving residents of Orangeburg County.
The program is designed to help entrepreneurs refine and prepare existing products for market. It begins with eight core instructional sessions focused on business readiness, followed by a secondary phase of technical support. This includes participation in a public marketplace event, onboarding of the program’s shared online store, and ongoing guidance to support early-stage business development.
The funding from the Department of Commerce supports both the delivery of the curriculum and direct participant assistance. This investment reflects the state’s commitment to expanding economic access and supporting new business development within Orangeburg County.
